🖼️ How to Use the Image Merger Tool

Easily combine multiple images into a single composite image with customizable layouts and settings.

✨ What is the Image Merger Tool?

The Image Merger tool is a powerful utility that allows you to combine multiple images into a single composite image. Whether you need to create collages, comparison images, or multi-panel displays, this tool helps you arrange and merge images with customizable positioning and formatting options.

📦 Key Features

  • Multiple Image Support: Combine between 2 and 10 images in a single merged output.
  • Flexible Positioning: Arrange images horizontally side by side, vertically stacked, or in a grid layout.
  • Size Normalization: Choose how images are sized relative to each other when merging.
  • Border Customization: Add and customize borders between images for clear separation.
  • Individual Image Settings: Control the size and appearance of each image independently.

🚀 How to Merge Images

Step 1: Upload Your Images
Click the 'Upload image' button in each image panel to add your source images. You need at least 2 images to perform a merge.
Step 2: Set Number of Images
Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the number of images you want to merge (minimum 2, maximum 10).
Step 3: Choose Image Position
Select the arrangement style from the 'Image Position' dropdown: Horizontal (side by side), Vertical (stacked), or Grid layout.
Step 4: Adjust Size Normalization
Select how images should be sized relative to each other. Options include 'Fit to Smallest Image', 'Match Largest Image', or 'Keep Original Sizes'.
Step 5: Configure Border Settings (Optional)
Click the 'Border' tab to add and customize borders between images, including border width, color, and style.
Step 6: Preview and Download
The merged result will be displayed automatically. When satisfied with the result, download your merged image.

🔄 Image Position Options

Horizontal (Side by Side)
Places images next to each other in a row. Best for comparing images side by side or creating panoramic compositions.
Vertical (Stacked)
Stacks images on top of each other. Ideal for before-and-after comparisons or sequential displays.
Grid Layout
Arranges images in a grid pattern. Perfect for creating collages or when working with several images of similar importance.

📏 Size Normalization Options

Fit to Smallest Image
Scales all images to match the dimensions of the smallest image. Ensures consistency but may reduce larger images.
Match Largest Image
Scales all images to match the dimensions of the largest image. Preserves detail in large images but increases output file size.
Keep Original Sizes
Maintains each image's original dimensions. Results in an asymmetrical composition but preserves all original details.

🖌️ Border Customization

  • Border Width: Set the thickness of borders between images from 0 (no border) up to 20 pixels.
  • Border Color: Choose any color for the borders to complement your images or create visual separation.
  • Border Style: Select border styles including solid, dashed, or dotted lines.

💡 Pro Tips

  • For best results when using 'Side by Side' mode, choose images with similar heights.
  • When creating a vertical stack, images with similar widths work best together.
  • The grid layout automatically arranges images in the most balanced formation based on the number of images.
  • Adding a border can help distinguish between images with similar colors or content.
  • Consider using 'Fit to Smallest Image' for faster processing and smaller file sizes.

🛠️ Having Trouble?

  • Images Not Merging: Make sure you've uploaded at least two valid image files. The merge preview displays automatically once sufficient images are loaded.
  • Quality Loss: If merged images appear lower quality than originals, try 'Keep Original Sizes' or 'Match Largest Image' settings to preserve details.
  • Layout Problems: If the merged layout doesn't look right, try a different position setting or normalize the image sizes for a more balanced composition.
